Huda previews October's excise return

What you will be able to do

This lesson is for the tax manager. Before the month ends you can ask Huda, the AI agent for excise, what the month's return will look like and what might be missing. A question changes nothing: Huda reads the movements and the preview and reports. You will ask Huda about October and read its answer.

Before you start

  • You are signed in as the tax manager, with access to Meridian Souq Manufacturing FZE.
  • October's releases and sales up to today are recorded in Excise; the month is not over.

    On Meridian Souq Manufacturing FZE, open the AI team's Chat, type @ and pick Huda, and type: what will October's excise return look like? Is anything missing in the movements before the month ends?

    Read Huda's answer

    Huda's green Answer says it saved and changed nothing. October so far comes to about 99,350 dirhams of excise, from two releases: the energy drink and the sparkling orange, each with its release note. There are no negative quantities and every product has a rate. Then what may be missing: the sugar-free energy drink was released every month before, but not yet in October. If a release happened, the return is understated; Huda asks you to confirm, and to send the release note if there is one. It will compute the return once the month has closed.

    Look at Excise Tax

    In the left menu, open Excise Tax. The products and October's movements are here; a missing release would be recorded under Stock Movements. Huda created no return: it only previewed it.

How to check it worked

Huda's green Answer gives the excise due on October's movements so far and names anything that looks missing, such as a product released every month but not yet this month. Excise shows no new return: Huda only previewed it.

Common mistakes

  • Computing a return before the month ends. A preview is enough until the last movement is in.
  • Ignoring a gap Huda flags. A product released every month but not this month is either a quiet month or a missing record; check with the plant.
